Helen Vaughan is a
South African ceramicist based in Cape Town. Her work is currently
exhibited in galleries in South Africa, Australia, Britain and Switzerland,
and in private collections in England, USA, Canada and South Africa.
Vessels are inspired by the sensuality of fruits, pods and eggs, as symbols of
fertile earth. Tall sculptural forms, functioning as candleholders, are
considered as symbols of the heavens, and complimentary to contemporary
architecture.
